Prefix

A prefix is a letter or a group of letters placed before the root of a word and change the meanings of words.

For example, the word “unhappy” consists of the prefix “un-” [ যার অর্থ না / not ] combined with the root word ( মূল শব্দ ) “happy ( সুখী )”; the word “unhappy ( অসুখী )” means “not happy. ( সুখী না )”

Suffix

A suffix is a letter or group of letters added to the end of a word.
